Audio Authority

At CES 2009, Audio Authority introduced a new 2-way Control4 driver for its AVAtrix Cat 5 Matrix system. The AVX-562 is a six-input, six-output matrix that offers a selection of three unique Cat 5 receiver options to meet any installation challenge. Expansion to 36 zone outputs is supported using model 1176BK Cat 5 Matrix Expanders. Developed under Control4’s new DriverWorks initiative, the 2-way driver enables control of the AVAtrix’s source and control restriction functions, as well as supporting pop-up notifications of system activity. The new driver is available from Control4’s Composer software now.

Card Access

Celebrating our third year of participation at CES in the Control4 Partner Pavilion, Card Access continues to show Control4 Dealers how to “Do More, Control More and Make More” with our expanding line of home automation products for the Control4 platform.

Control UI

Control UI demonstrated the next release (version 1.4) of the Mobile Navigator iPhone and iPod Touch application for Control4 systems. In the booth CES visitors could use an iPod Touch or iPhone to control lights, view a live PTZ camera, play digital music, control zones, view motion sensor status, interact with a thermostat, and more.

The new features of the release that were shown to CES visitors included:

• DEMO MODE. This allows dealers to demonstrate the application without a Director or Wi-Fi connection.

CytexOne announced a product they have been developing to allow Control4 dealers full remote access to an entire system. Codenamed the ‘CytexOne Appliance,’ this device will provide dealers the ability to fully manage, monitor and program a customer's entire automation system, including the network, securely and easily from anywhere in the world. The device ships with all necessary software preloaded.

Any technician with permission can remotely access the device via a secure web-portal. Having this device is just like being onsite with a laptop. Plus installation is simple - requiring only power and an internet connection – no special router forwarding or admin needed!

A monitoring system is built in and all network devices are automatically discovered and monitored 24/7 from the system. The dealer, and even home owner, can receive email notifications when a device goes down or is having trouble. We hope you had a chance to come by the Global Cache kiosk in the Control4 Partner Pavilion at CES. Global Cache products are designed to extend and enhance the reach of Control4 systems. Zatabit

We hope those of you who were able to visit CES this year enjoyed the opportunity to see Zatabit and its integration with Control4 first hand.

At the show we demonstrated several of the unique features found only in Zatabit to the visiting Control4 dealers.
